About Us

MCL Knives is a custom knife company established by brothers, Leo and Chris Lopez, in 2008. Together we built and showcased over 5,000 knives at gun and sportsman shows throughout the Midwest: including Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona, New Mexico, Nebraska, Montana, South Dakota, and Utah.

In 2021, when Leo retired, Chris and his wife Mona relocated to Asheboro, NC where we continue to create a wide variety of top of the line and reasonably priced hunting knives, kitchen, cutlery, and specialty knives.

We Specialize in Damascus blades and acrylic resin handles, all of our resin handles are built in house. We also use a wide variety of non-Damascus steel: such as 1095, 1097, 8075, O1, D2 and A6 just to name a few. As of 2018 Chris has started teaching knife making classes to individuals in a 1-on-1 environment.
